The beggar had become the bargainer,
New England made me feel so free,
And in my hand I held a piece of time,
That I've wished for back.

The sunsets blended light and people were so kind,
What I wanted, handed twice.
A hero I was made, you helped the scoundrel fade,
As I washed my hands.

Things can never sit and steep inside a glass of water,
Feelings will change and kill the ones that came before them.
People lose sight of what had given them their movement.
